Bug Description
Binary package hint: kpackagekit
After I tried to install RecordItNow from Synaptic, I can not update Lucid anymore.
I got the error message bellow from KpackageKit:
Error Type:
Error Value: coercing to Unicode: need string or buffer, exceptions.
File : /usr/share/
main()
File : /usr/share/
run(args, options.single)

self.refresh_
File : /usr/share/
func(*args, **kwargs)
File : /usr/share/

File : /usr/lib/
txt = unicode(text, encoding, errors='replace')
I have two hard drives: one is master and other is slave. The master has Grub in dual boot with Windows 7.
Every time I choose on the Gub to boot Lucid I need to reboot 3 times or more to boot Lucid with success (I have Lucid in dual boot with Windows 7). But on Windows 7 it starts on the first time everytime.
On the every first time of the day that I boot Lucid I get the error message bellow:
Gaveup waiting for root device. Commom problems
- Boot Args (cat/proc/cmdline)
- Check rootdelay = (did the system wait long enough?)
- Check root = (did system wait for the right device?)
- Missing modules (cat/proc/modules ; ls/dev)
