Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunderbird
Mozilla Thunderbird
Ubuntu 10.04
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100423 Lightning/1.0b1 Thunderbird/3.0.4
When you receive multiple mails with multiple attachment, thunderbird has wrong bahavior in th save as dialog
How to reproduce
Receive 2 mails or more containting attachements (encountered with *.jpeg files)
Open first mail cliking on the subject in the received mails folder
Mail appears with more than 1 attachement (because it realy contains many)
Ctrl+left-click to select all the files
right-click with option "save as..."
answer the location for each saved file (no way to save save all ??)
files as rigth saved on the appropriate place
Then immediatly select the second message subject containg other attachments
2nd Mail appears with more than 1 attachement (because it realy contains many)
Ctrl+left-click to select all the files
right-click with option "save as..."
Oops, Thunderbird asks if it should overwrite files !!!
It purposes the file names of the first selected message and not the file names of the 2nd one
Workaround found
After having "saved as" the attachments in the first message, left click in the frame close to the attachment file names. It should deactivate the file name selection in the first message
Then you can go to save the attachments on the second message an Thunderbird no longer asks you already existing and wrong file names
Outdated versions of Ubuntu an Thunderbird
Bug longer can be reproduced
