nm... got it to install now after purge, but now I get:

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ../sysdeps/i386/dl-machine.h: 640: elf_machine_rel_relative: Assertion `((reloc->r_info) & 0xff) == 8' failed!

when trying to run

Marking invalid, seems to be some filesystem corruption or other.
