Bug Description

The HPILP docs installed with basic Ubuntu Breezy and Dapper show HP all in one Series C31XX as being able to be able to print and scan.

Trying this on a 3 dapper and 1 remaining breezy machine I could not get the scanner working at all.

Compiling and installing the latest hplip tar.gz from sourceforge cured the problem

It appears the Dapper/Breezy implementation of HPLIP is incomplete causing at least some multifunction devices to not be able to scan ( this would preclude fax also somewhat)

Problem is definitely fixable as I did it by compiling the latest version.

I removed all hpilp related debs, then compiled hpilp per instructions included in hplip-1.6.7.tar.gz from sourceforge.

All functions seem to work now.

I requested hplip 1.6.7 backported for dapper here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=1532820#post1532820 I thought this might be related.
