Bug Description

Hi all,

I have a HP Pavilion dv8000 laptop w/
AMD Turion64 Processor
ATI 200M Radeon XPress Graphics card
1G RAM
80G HD
DVD Burner
Logitech MX Laser Bluetooth mouse.

I did a fresh installation of Ubuntu 6.06 LTS - the Dapper Drake. Then clicked the update and installed the updates. Everything ran completely smooth. I Then typed the following commands into the prompt:

wget http://easyubuntu.freecontrib.org/files/easyubuntu-3.022.tar.gz
tar -zxf easyubuntu-3.022.tar.gz
cd easyubuntu
easyubuntu$ sudo python easyubuntu.in

which produced the following output:

System sanity check: PASSED!
amd64 detected

I then selected all options accept NVideo adpater of course then pressed OK and received the following output:

['/usr/sbin/synaptic', '--hide-main-window', '--non-interactive', '-o=dir::etc=./conf', '-o=dir::etc::sourcelist=sources.list']
In update ['/usr/sbin/synaptic', '--hide-main-window', '--non-interactive', '-o=dir::etc=./conf', '-o=dir::etc::sourcelist=sources.list', '--update-at-startup']In Install ['/usr/sbin/synaptic', '--hide-main-window', '--non-interactive', '-o=dir::etc=./conf', '-o=dir::etc::sourcelist=sources.list', '--set-selections']

Then the system froze for a few seconds and produced an error :

Could not apply changes!
Fix broken packages first.

I then tried rerunning the package, without selecting the ati driver and received the exact same errors and responses. Am I doing something wrong? is my system uncompatible? What am i missing?
