Bug Description
Binary package hint: python-pivy
The python-pivy package (source package: pivy) currently in lucid repository was compiled with swig 1.3.36. This makes it incompatible with applications compiled with other versions of swig.
Freecad, the only package, to my knowledge, that uses pivy, is compiled with swig 1.3.40, which is the current version in lucid. A big part of freecad relies on pivy, and is unusable because pivy is not working (specifically, pivy cannot access the coin scenegraph of freecad).
Werner Mayer demonstrated on the freecad forum that a simple recompile of pivy against current swig solves the issue:

I'm not sure this package has any ubuntu maintainer, if I can help in anything please tell me.

I can confirm the same issue.
Will it be fixed in the 10.04 lts?
