Bug Description

Please backport texlive-full from feisty to dapper. This is a metapackage that pulls all texlive packages.

Its components build clean using prevu (after backporting tex-common, bug # 76954 ).

If not, can the following subset be backported please:
texlive-font-utils (2005.dfsg.1-1ubuntu2) [universe]
    TeX Live: TeX font-related programs
texlive-fonts-extra (2005.dfsg.1-1) [universe]
    TeX Live: Extra fonts
texlive-fonts-recommended (2005.dfsg.1-1) [universe]
    TeX Live: Recommended fonts
texlive-formats-extra (2005.dfsg.1-1) [universe]

Thank you.

yes, please backport texlive packages (all).

As per the description:
"The TeX Live software distribution offers a complete TeX system. It encompasses programs for editing, typesetting, previewing and printing of TeX documents in many different languages, and a large collection of TeX macros and font libraries."

This would compliment a Dapper latex installation to a great extend.

The list of packages in Feisty is here:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=texlive&searchon=names&subword=1&version=feisty&release=all

Let us know how, if we can help.

Sorry to cause noise.

I have like 20 packages which are part of texlive-full now (using prevu). Anything I can / should do with them to resolve this one?

I am slowly testing those that I installed. there seems no problems so far.

So far, I couldn't install texlive-full (the meta-package) because apt-get thinks texlive-some-package-x.y.z~prevu is a lower version than texlive-some-package-x.y.z. I expect an experienced user to circumvent that easily... I started with prevu ~ 2 days ago...

Individual packages that I needed installed flawlessly. here's the list of packages that I have backported and installed to my virtual Dapper (dpkg --get-selection| grep texlive):
texlive install
texlive-base install
texlive-base-bin install
texlive-bibtex-extra install
texlive-common install
texlive-context install
texlive-doc-base install
texlive-doc-en install
texlive-extra-utils install
texlive-font-utils install
texlive-fonts-extra install
texlive-fonts-recommended install
texlive-formats-extra install
texlive-generic-extra install
texlive-generic-recommended install
texlive-lang-other install
texlive-latex-base install
texlive-latex-extra install
texlive-latex-recommended install
texlive-latex3 install
texlive-math-extra install
texlive-metapost install
texlive-pdfetex install
texlive-pictures install
texlive-plain-extra install
texlive-pstricks install
texlive-publishers install

and also
tex-common (bug # 76954 )

Marking incomplete until testing is completed. BTW, texlive-some-package-x.y.z~prevu is a lower version than texlive-some-package-x.y.z.
