ntp 1:4.2.4p8+dfsg-1ubuntu2 :

Bug :
1) /usr/sbin/ntpdate-debian line 17 the sed command not working and return an empty value.

2) The name of daemon change in ubuntu lucid to openntpd and it's always old name refereed in /etc/network/if-up.d/ntpdate line 42 and 46.

Correction : 1=> NTPSERVERS=`grep "^server" "$file" |sed s/"server "/""/g`
                    2=> Modify name ntp in the invoke-rc.d section to openntpd

Thank you for opening this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. I have some questions:

1. what is wrong with the NTPSERVERS assignment? Where does it fail? It works here.

2. openntpd and ntp are two different packages, and ntp (1:4.2.4p8+dfsg-1ubuntu2) is still the official one. Now, if you installed openntpd, then I agree both your point would probably not work. If this is the case please advise, and I will change the affected package to openntpd.
