Bug Description

Binary package hint: mythtv

Since upgrading to Lucid, I get this error emailed to me on a daily basis:

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: stat of /var/log/mythtv/mirobridge.log failed: No such file or directory
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1

Maybe a missing depends???

(I wanted to report this as a bug against mythtv-backend, not mythtv, but the following URL generates errors every time, and I don't know how to report launchpad bugs:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+search?text=mythtv-backend)

This is fixed in Mythbuntu but is the fix going to be released in the Ubuntu packages or are they one and the same?

The Lucid packages will not be fixed in the Ubuntu repositories. It will be fixed in Maverick. You can get the fix now by enabling auto-builds from the mythbuntu website.

Why isnn't this fixed in Lucid? Lucid is after all the most recent LTS release...

This fix is available for Lucid via Mythbuntu auto-builds. The Mythbuntu team does not backport fixes to previous releases.
