Bug Description
Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree
This is the code I used when I had the previous flashplugin problem:
sudo rm /var/lib/
sudo rm /var/lib/
sudo dpkg --purge --force all flashplugin-nonfree
That worked, but now when I use update manager my flashplayer does not work and I have to reinstall it from Abobe.

Thanks for your report.
The workaround you used simply allow you to remove the package but doesn't fix the problem with the 'alternatives' during an upgrade. You're still experiencing the same bug as before and I'm going to mark this one as duplicate.
