New touchpad setting don't have any effect

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

The new settings widget for touchpads seems to identify my touchpad, and I can apply all sorts of settings. Only, they don't have any effect.

Even stranger, after a suspend-resume-cycle the changes have been applied. But still, if I change the settings now, no effect.
