Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Ubuntu release: Lucid
Package Version: 1:0.8.4
Expected behavior: Shift+left click should be able to select multiple menu items from a multi-select list box.
Actual behavior: When Desktop visualization effects are set to anything but None, Shift+left click does nothing in vncviewer (tried xvnc4viewer and xtightvncviewer).

Here's an bug from fedora for this same issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=506362

Confirming on lucid. With compiz, I can't use control+click or shift+click to select multiple items in the vncviewer. Makes it hard to work in nautilus over VNC, to mention the simplest of reasons why this is an annoying bug.

Glenn, please could you check if this behaviour is still occurring in latest release included in Ubuntu Maverick?
