These packages have been removed from Medibuntu more than 6 months ago. So the ubuntu package should probably add the "Replaces: skype-common".

I discovered that I could resolve the problem by first uninstalling the current version (2.1.0.47-0medibuntu2) of both «skype» and «skype-common» in Synaptic, and then installing verson 2.1.0.81-1ubuntu4 of «skype» from the package manager....
