Bug Description
Binary package hint: polkit-kde-1
The password verification system does not function anymore, and anything else related to this file won't more than likely.. i just rebooted my pc, and afterwards it informed me of the crash. i tried to install the debugging tools but i can't-- it instead provides me with a pop up that it cannot verify my password-- without ever asking me for my password. i tried restarting the app but it only crashes again with a different PID everytime. i attempted to recreate the bug and it happens at every boot up now it seems. i also tried downloading a random file from the Kpackage kit just to test-- which also doesn't work. this would mean that i potentially can't install ANYTHING anymore including bug and security updates.
I use the latest Kubuntu, 10.04 LTS.
