Which engine are you using (default engine is auto)? Which file type is it? I can't reproduce it here. Does the same problem occur whenever you right-click the fullscreen window and select "Fullscreen" to turn off fullscreen? Or it only occurs with esc key?

Tried to reproduce it by playing an avi movie in VLC mode, but the player came out of fullscreen normally. I can't reproduce the bug. Which Ubuntu release are you using? And which version of GNOME Media Player? Please run gnome-media-player from the command line, reproduce the problem and paste the command line output here.

Thanks for your bug report. I think it is a problem with the dbus name not existing in XFCE. Michael, you try to solve this mess. Or mark it 'Won't Fix'.

Mr. N,

1. Try another engine to see if it causes the same issue (not auto or vlc)
2. Does the same thing happen when you use the VLC player?
3. Try the latest revision (100) which should fix that assertion failure

Thanks,

Michael

Mr. N,
In case you are using the PPA, wait a few minutes while I upload the package to the PPA.

yes I'am using the PPA and now since the vlc works fine but xine/GStreamer engine they crash every time I tried to load a avi file with it when I switch so I have different engine but only vlc and auto works fine for now.

This bug is delaying the release of gnome-media-player 0.1.3 . I think this issue is solved, so I shall release 0.1.3 today. If it isn't, please give a reply quickly. All work on gnome-media-player 0.1.3 is completed, and I have crossed the expected date of release (yesterday, thursday).

Hi Bilal, good work. When you package Me TV you should add those packages (gstreamer0.10-*, libxine-*) to depends. But this is your call.
