This seems to be a bug in the webInterface. I didn't get similar errors with the syncdeamon.
Using the webInterface I get the same problem, but only if I deactivate JavaScript.
The Note I wanted to save was saved successfully.
When I try to browse through my notes without JavaScript, tags like <br/> are visible.

If JavaScript is enabled everything works fine: formatting and saving works without errors.

Since this bug affects the Notes web UI, and we've recently removed the Notes web UI, this bug is no longer applicable. Thanks for the report.
