Does this happen if you don't suspend or hibernate?

I have the same bug and it happens even I don't suspend or hibernate (after a regular power on). X starts normally but crashes a few minutes later with the same error message in Xorg.log (Failed to submit batchpuffer.) I run Ubuntu 10.04 32 bits (Linux 2.6.32-22.33-generic) on a Sony Vaio VGN-FE770 with Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset

This report is for 915gm chips, not 945 chips. The error message is also a
generic one for an X failure. Please file a new bug report by running
"ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg-video-intel" in a terminal immediately after a
crash.

It would be better still if it allows you to change to a tty session with
Ctrl+Alt+F1, run "sudo service gdm stop" then "startx" and then "ubuntu-bug
xserver-xorg-video-intel.

Thank you.

I found some of kernel debug files.
Hope it helps.

Furious Dave,

Because different graphics bugs usually present with the same symptoms, we ask that everyone files separate bugs for each system. Please file a new bug with 'ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg-video-intel' during the same boot as the crash (using SSH or TTY), or if you have to reboot also attach /var/log/kern.log. Thank you.

Detlef Lechner, thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
