Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility
I have a regular IDE hard drive that I use as external storage, connecting it by a USB to IDE cable. It basically behaves the way it should except for an error message when I remove it. I right-click the USB/"New Drive" icon on my desktop and select "Safely remove drive" it still behaves as I would expect except for an error message that pops up. In bold, the title is "Unable to stop drive" and in slightly smaller print it says:
Error detaching: helper exited with exit code 1: Detaching device /dev/sdb
USB device: /sys/devices/
SYNCHRONIZE CACHE: FAILED: No such file or directory
(Continuing despite SYNCHRONIZE CACHE failure.)
STOP UNIT: FAILED: No such file or directory

I do not have to unplug the cable to get the error message, it happens immediately when I click "Safely Remove Drive".
