Bug Description

Everytime I mount a new partition two icons appear on the GNOME desktop that points to the same mount point.. and some times the names aren't correct as well.

Being more specific, the partitions that get automatically mounted on boot are:
/dev/sda1 on /boot
/dev/hde1 on /dev/hda1
/dev/hde2 on /dev/hda2

I list only these ones since they are the only ones that appear on the desktop. On the desktop I have the following icons:
"/boot" opens "/media/hda1"
"hda1" opens "/media/hda1"
"hda2" opens "/media/hda2"
"hda2 (2)" opens "/media/hda2"

I tried unmounting all this volumes and remounting them, this is what happens.

Unmounting "/boot" (or "hda1") both "/boot" and "hda1" disappears.
Mounting "/media/hda1" makes the "/boot" icon appear and, after a couple seconds, also the "hda1" icon.
The same happens for the other two icons. Unmounting one of them makes both of them disappear. Mounting the volume makes them appear.

This bug seems similar to https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/pmount/+bug/20652 but that one is a year old.

I can't see why it choose the "/boot" name for "/media/hda1".. fstab problems?

I have just upgraded my system from Dapper Drake to Edgy Eft. Before the upgrade, on my desktop I had three icons: "/boot" that pointed to the correct mount directory "/boot" and "hda1" and "hda2".
Maybe this is only due to some dirty configuration file?
