Intellihide doesn't play well with Compiz's application switcher

Open Firefox and maximize it.
Open a terminal, not maximized.

Now alt+tab to Firefox but don't release the Alt key just now, notice that Firefox will be brought up by Compiz, therefore hiding AWN.
Release the alt key, leaving Firefox on the top of the screen. AWN will pop-up and show the fade-out animation.

If you alt+tab fast, this causes an ugly flickering effect. If you have fade-out disabled, it is even worse. Maybe AWN shouldn't be brought up just to show this animation? Could this be done somehow?
