Bug Description
The latest update to libdrm-nouveau in maverick caused this regression, when I boot up the plymouth boot splash has 256 pixels cut off of the bottom, and also some cut off the right side of the secondary display. (the same as in lucid, see bug 572155), but then the desktop loads and it has the exact same dimensions as the plymouth screen, which was not true in lucid.
In 'Monitor Preferences' my display shows up as unknown (resolution at 1280x760 but native is 1280x1024, it is not changeable) and it does not seem to even know there are two displays attached, but an image is getting displayed to both.
Work around is to remove the secondary monitor and reboot.

Thanks for your report. Is it still an issue with the final version of maverick (libdrm 2.4.21-1ubuntu2) ?
