After upgrading from Karmic to Lucid, my Hewlett-Packard OfficeJet J2100 series printer is no longer working. The printer does not show up in the system-

OK, well it seems that cups was simply not started, although there is no indication why, and the only reason could have been the upgrade, which I performed using the upgrade tool on the update manager.
