Bug Description

Building lmirror on a Lucid PPA, results in the following test failures:

http://launchpadlibrarian.net/48513059/buildlog_ubuntu-lucid-i386.lmirror_0.0.2%2Br58~ppa6_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

And:

http://launchpadlibrarian.net/48511876/buildlog_ubuntu-lucid-i386.lmirror_0.0.2%2Br58~ppa4_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

Which seems to be caused by the fact that there is no .bzr directory in the buildd target, which setup.py is trying to use to form a version number string? I have verified that this directory exists in the source package.

The package builds fine when the test is commented out.

Releases don't do this test: morale of the story, don't package non-releases ;)

I think for doing dailies or something I'd want to set the version
number explicitly - or - use setup.py to build a 'release' to package.
