Looking at the logs attached by apport there appears to be a ton of failures, with this error being one of dozens. I suspect that somewhere during the install a package got corrupted and started a failure chain. I'm turning this into a support question so that you can get help unbreaking your system, but I don't think this is anything we can fix from the packaging end of things.
