Bug Description

My external harddrive randomly gets unmounted. I can't really reproduce it, it just happens quite often.
I've got the Enermax Jazz case and a 1.5 TB WD SATA device.

This is my syslog:

Hi Fabus,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

On the 2.6.34, this doesn't happen. Is there any way to fix the current stable Lucid kernel?

this bug doesn't seem to be related to Ubuntu. It only happens if the VirtualBox module from VirtualBox.org ist loaded (not the OSE edition from Ubuntu).

actually, this happens whether or not VirtualBox is installed. And it happens with both 2.6.32 as well as 2.6.34.
