Bug Description

Ubuntu One is not synching on one of my two connected PCs.

While it is working on one of the PCs (10.04 32bit) it isn't on the other (10.04 64bit).
Both PCs use the same data to log in.
I have added both PCs without problems.
I tried removing and readding the PC that is not working, but that didn't help.

u1sdtool -s does not produce any output:
The terminal seems to start the process but never displays any output and no new command can be entered in that terminal.

Patrick,

I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. Can you try the following and let us know the results?

   1. Quit the Ubuntu One Preferences and quit the syncdaemon by opening a Terminal and typing the command:
        u1sdtool -q; killall ubuntuone-login
   2. Open Applications->Accessories->Passwords and Encryption Keys
   3. Click on the arrow next to "Passwords"
   4. Right-click on the Ubuntu One token and select "Delete"
   5. Go to https://one.ubuntu.com/account/machines/
   6. Click on the checkbox next to your computer
   7. Click the "Remove selected computers" button
   8. Open Me Menu -> Ubuntu One
   9. a web page should open, prompting you to add your computer to your Ubuntu One account. (If you have trouble finding the 'Add Computer' button see this FAQ http://ln-s.net/6aAs)
  10. Add your computer

You should be connected after you follow these steps. If you are not connected, can you please attach the following files to this bug report?

~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/oauth-login.log
~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon-exceptions.log

Thank you,
duanedesign

I followed your procedure.
Now, u1sdtool -s seems to work, as it is producing output:

State: QUEUE_MANAGER
    connection: With User With Network
    description: processing queues
    is_connected: True
    is_error: False
    is_online: True
    queues: IDLE

However, it still won't show any files in the UbunuOne folder, even after restarting and waiting for several minutes.
The folder has still a locked-icon on it.
I also attached the oauth-login.log file, however syncdaemon-exceptions.log is empty, so I didn't attach this one.

Patrick,
Could you please try the following.

1. Close the Ubuntu ONe preferences (if it is open)

2. Open a Terminal and run the following:

u1sdtool -q

3. Run the following in a Terminal:

rm ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf

4. Run in a Terminal:

u1sdtool --start; u1sdtool -c

If anything gets printed to the terminal after running the last command please post it here. Otherwise, let it run for a couple minutes and then run the following command and post its results:

u1sdtool -s

After you attach the logs or make comments please change the 'Status' of your bug back to 'New'. The status of a bug report can be modified by clicking on the current status in the yellow line, which will reveal a sub menu. You can then set a new status in the drop down box.

Did that.
This is what I get from u1sdtool -c after a couple of minutes:
State: QUEUE_MANAGER
    connection: With User With Network
    description: processing queues
    is_connected: True
    is_error: False
    is_online: True
    queues: WORKING_ON_METADATA

No files though.
I then started the client from the MeMenu and after it logged in it said it was synching for a couple of seconds and afterwards u1sdtools -s shows the following:
State: QUEUE_MANAGER
    connection: With User With Network
    description: processing queues
    is_connected: True
    is_error: False
    is_online: True
    queues: IDLE

Still no sign of my files in teh UbuntuOne folder though...
