Totem suppresses all libnotify popups

Lucid 64-bit and Totem 2.30.1:

when playing audio or video with Totem, no more libnotify popups were shown.
when deselecting the option to suppress screensaver also on audio-playback, libnotify popups show while playing audio.
it seems that it has soemthing to do with screensaver?
with VLC everything works fine.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue?
