Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, latest available nvidia drivers, not using compiz. Two separate screens setup, xorg crashes on switching users (via indicator applet session). Twinview working OK.
Steps to reporoduce: logina user A, login user B, switch a couple of times between them. Either one or both sessions crashes.

Some problem, this time with 2 nvidia cards. Tried just to see if it works. Attached info collected with apport-collect.

I think that this bug is a duplicate from #577997 : switching users on 10.04 with latest nvidia drivers leads to a freeze. This problem is linked to the use of the nvidia drivers.

I don't think so. For me it was a duplicate of 502237 and solved it as described.

This is an ancient bug for an unsupported release. I'm closing. Please do feel free to open a new bug if this affects anyone on a more recent version (12.04, 12.10, 13.04)
