Bug Description
When opening a random PDF using poppler's python bindins (eg. by using the demo-poppler.py script), no text is displayed. Any images within the PDF are displayed correctly though. When opening the PDF with evince (which uses poppler as well?), everything is displayed correctly. AFAIK this is no PDF issue, as it happens with all PDF's and no problems have been seen with other PDF readers.
I'm using Arch Linux, with poppler & poppler-glib 0.12.4 and python-poppler 0.12.1. This combination works flawlessly on my desktop, but fails with aforementioned issue on my laptop. I suspect this might be an issue at my side, but how does one debug such a problem?

A reinstall of font-related libraries seems to have fixed the issue, and I cannot reproduce it anymore.
