Bug Description
When I play an Full HD (1080p) video, the playback stutters when played with GStreamer (totem). However, it works with XBMC Media Center (Ubuntu) without problems. I think this is because of missing VDPAU codec support in GStreamer.

If your diagnosis is correct you will probably be interested in the just announced open-source GStreamer VA-API plug-in support. See http:// www.phoronix. com/scan. php?page= news_item& px=ODIzNA for more details.
