Bug Description

When I play an Full HD (1080p) video, the playback stutters when played with GStreamer (totem). However, it works with XBMC Media Center (Ubuntu) without problems. I think this is because of missing VDPAU codec support in GStreamer.

If your diagnosis is correct you will probably be interested in the just announced open-source GStreamer VA-API plug-in support. See http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=ODIzNA for more details.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GStreamer is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.
