Bug Description

After an upgrade to lucid, the x server does not work anymore.

Kdm prompt is correctly shown, however as soon as one tries to log in the server crashes and is restated.

Blacklisting nouveau and installing stock drivers from the nvidia site fixes the issue.

Might be connected with 572937 since the symptom is the same.

Might also be connected to 522328 since nvidia drivers from nvidia site were possibly installed on the machine prior to update.

That version is no more supported; please open a new bug report if the actual archive found version also has the same issue.
