SB X-Fi Go! (Sound Blaster X-fi Go! external usb sound adapter) sound output level is broken as right channel output level is 50% higher than left one. Problem doesn't depends on specific application (tested on firefox, audacious2, totem).

As described in the bug this doesn't just happen with Firefox. I suspect this is related to pulse-audio but I am marking as Ubuntu until it is reassigned.

I find that if I run

alsa-utils reset Go

then the balance works properly again. Now I just need to find a way to do this automatically when the sound card is plugged in.

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
