xchat thinks it is the currently selected application when it isn't

Bug Description
Per the attached screenshot, I think the arrow on the right is supposed to designate that something is the currently select application. However, xchat thinks it already is when it isn't, which means it can't be switched to by clicking on the icon. Nothing happens when I click on the xchat application. I can switch to it using Alt+Tab though.

Ah, so it seems to be related to when I drag the list of application icons downwards. Whatever is the selected application at that point gets the right hand arrow, and then can't be selected any more because of that.
