Duplicate roles

When editing an edition, you can choose to "Add a new role" in the "List the people involved" section.

Users have been entering exact duplicate roles. Editor, Illustrator, and Translator all appear twice in the role list.

We should check for dupes when creating new roles, and merge the existing duplicate roles.

For now, I can remove duplicates from the list, but I have no idea what the impact will be if there are already entries created with those duplicates.

Apparently, nothing changes if I remove a role from the config/edition list - the data remains, but the role is no longer an option in the dropdown. So, closing this.

The actual feature request here is to check for duplicate role names and disallow a dupe to be created.

Say the menu already has "Illustrator" and someone tries to add another "Illustrator" role. The second one could be dropped silently, and the menu could land on the first "Illiustrator entry.
