Bug Description

Sometimes my Atheros based USB wireless card disconnect from the access point. All another cards (like card of my laptop) connected don't disconnect. For reconnect I must disconnect USB card and reconnect. There aren't any other method for connect. Seems hardware locked.

I remember that this did not happen before Karmic.

USB card:
0846:9001 NetGear, Inc. WN111(v2) RangeMax Next Wireless [Atheros AR9001U-(2)NG])

This is the time line of commands and kernel logs.

Here at disconnect.

Hi Daniele,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

I've installed kernel 2.6.34-020634rc7-generic.

Now monitors the situation. Then if it happens again, I'll reopen the bug.
