Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfce4

I modified (and saved) a .gnumeric file but I couldn't find it listed in the "recent documents" list of Places. The same with AbiWord documents.
I thought it might be bug #164579 but I've just upgraded to Xubuntu 10.4 (from 9.10) and that one is fixed by Jaunty.

Not that it would matter that much but a few info on the environment.

Hi,

Thanks for your bug report. It's up to the applications to register recent documents. Are you sure abiword and gnumeric do that?

I think so.

After I deleting the complete "recent documents" list with the option provided by Places, I opened/modified/saved a .gnumeric file. It does appear on the list now. (As the only item.)

I checked the .recently-used.xbel file and the re-saved .gnumeric file appears among the other entries with the right date/time. But it is not shown in the list. Any tipps what to check?
