Bug Description

Binary package hint: ghostscript

Evince fails to print certain PDF files. It seems Ghostscript fails to convert them to PS.

Joachim, if you have really the same problem as the original poster, then please attach a PDF files (or more PDF files) which do not print for you.

Thanks for the quick response!

As it might be useful to spot the issue, attached is the original PDF I downloaded. Since Evince wouldn't print it, I 'recreated' a PDF using the 'print to pdf' functionality within the print dialog. That's the one attached in my original report. This wouldn't print either and gives the mentioned errors when using 'pdf2ps'.

The original, however, doesn't give errors on 'pdf2ps', but does give the same 'Print error' dialog when trying to print. I assume both issues are at least related.

I can print original.pdf when I print it directly, not using evince, for example with "lpr original.pdf".

That works here as well. So this is a different bug in Evince?
