Bug Description

instead /usr/bin/bluetooth-properties does only show me that bluwtooth adapter hasnt been found. it is annoying because i cannot use my wireless headphones which worked fine before upgrade.

Hi Tec,

Could you confirm you're using a eeepc ?
If so, it seems you have to upgrade the firmware to have bluetooth back.

I have a Dell Mini 10 same problem. It looks like lucid is not for netbooks?

Andy,

please open a new bug (with the command "ubuntu-bug- bluez" in a terminal), because I want a bug per person, as each one is different.

thanks.

Hi Baptiste,

thanks for the quick answer!

yes, I have an asus eeepc 1008ha.

By firmware, did you mean BIOS? I logged into windows and and used the ASUS Update tool to try and upgrade the BIOS, but it told me that I already have the latest version 1103 (08/18/2009). Is that what youj meant by firmware?

I am quite new to Linux, therefore i might have understood something wrong.

Is there a way of upgrading the firmware from ubuntu?

Thanks a lot for your support, its reassuring!

This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report against it and we will take it from there.
