Murrine engine fails to render checkboxes properly

Hello.

Recently upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04.

Whilst using Murrine GTK2 engine, the checkboxes and radiobuttons fail to display properly with most light themes. This problem does not occur if a dark theme is used. Bug is not the same as 556154 or 546263. Proper status of the checkbox or radiobutton can only be seen if the item is highlighted.

Here's the same menu when the item in question is highlighted. It is reproducible in other applications, although I'm currently using Geeqie here.

This was a new feature added in murrine , it is the theme which has to customize the checkmarks/radiobuttons , there is bug #553393 about the theme problem.

As mentioned in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/human-theme/+bug/553393/comments/4 , the themes need to specify the colors.
