Bug Description
The icon for XEmacs (which looks like a text documents with the letters "XE" superimposed), and the icon for a Matlab figure (which looks like a 3D graph) disappear when I change focus to another application, or when I move the mouse pointer away from the original icon to the icon of another application. In its place appears the icon of the new application. It is as if the icons for XEmacs and Matlab are somehow "weaker" than those for other programs, since other programs do not suffer this fate. Examples of programs that work as expected include Firefox and RXVT. The icon for the Gimp, meanwhile, gets mangled in a way that is best described by a screenshot, which I attach.
I don't know if this is helpful, but the simultaneously running "Window Selector" applet is not confused about the icons for XEmacs and Matlab, but its representation of the Gimp's icon is equally mangled.
This bug affects both the version of the Window Picker in the 9.10 Netbook Remix and the version in the regular 10.4 repository.
I will, of course, be happy to provide any additional information.
I get the same problem with the JabRef icon. The screenshot provided by Daniel looks very similar to what I get... the color distortion of the Firefox icon, and everything.
