Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Firefox reports that the Flash plug-in is version 9. Visiting the Adobe website confirms that the version 9 player is being used. Version 10 is not listed as an installed plug-in.

I removed the package adobe-flashplugin and installed flashplugin-installer. The install reported that version 10 installed successfully. Version 9 is still the reported version in Firefox.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. It does look like you have Flash 9 installed on your system. Could you please go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager, then search for 'flashplugin-nonfree' and make sure it's installed? If it isn't, then you can install it. If it is, then look at what version it says is installed and let us know.

Sorry, it was just pointed out to me that the terminal output you provided already says what version is installed on your system. Have you ever installed Flash manually instead of through the official repositories?
