Bug Description

Binary package hint: freeloader

Freeloader seems to block /dev/dsp when running.

Here is the log error I have when I try to play music while running freeloader :
> audio_setup: Can't open audio device /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy

fuser idenfies freeloader pid as the only process using dsp :

$ fuser /dev/dsp
/dev/dsp: 21647
$ ps ax | grep 21647
21647 ? Sl 26:01 python /usr/bin/freeloader

Freeloader is doing precisely what it was designed to do. If your hardware is capable of pcm multiopen, other apps can open and read/write from/to [ALSA's emulated] /dev/dsp just fine.

Now the question is whether Freeloader honours gconfaudiosink...
