The version in Dapper doesn't work with Safari, and doesn't seem to work fully with MySQL 5.

Here is a testing backport built from Edgy sources. Let me know if that works / resolves your problems.

Sorry, I'm a silly fool. I was just responding to the email.

I installed the test .deb, works great, solves both the problem with MySQL 5 and the problem with Safari.
