Bug Description
Binary package hint: plasma-
In earlier Kubuntu builds I remember I was able to free my system from Akonadi & KDEPIM parts if I wanted to.
Especially to free quite a space by removing MySQL instance that Akonadi pulls in as a dependency.
Now (in Kubuntu 9.10 and later) these packages are required by plasma-
In this package, I suppose only the calendar applet could require Akonadi/KDEPIM in some way.
Why not split it into a separate package like plasma-
And then make kdebase-
This is only a wishlist, actually. What do you think about that ?

Debian has said that they do not wish to do this, and we don't want to deviate from Debian in this regard.
