I have a Google Apps account that I can't seem to get working with GMail Notifier.

I am using user@domain as my username. In case it makes any difference, I have chat enabled in the account and use it successfully with Empathy (using XMPP).

Let me know if there is anything useful I can provide from my side to track the issue down.

ok - could you please update to the latest version 0.10.2 and edit line 28 in /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/gtalk.py to

_DEBUG = True

and then start gm-notify.py from a terminal and post the output here...

Ok, I tried that, but I don't get any output on the command line when the application is running.

In the application, after typing my password in and moving to another field, I get a waiting twirl that never progresses along with "checking..." status.

I've attached a screenshot, along with a copy of my /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/gtalk.py file (so you can check I enabled the debug option correctly).

ok, sorry... your gtalk.py already looks fine

but I wanted to ask you if you can run gm-notify-config.py in a terminal ;-) sorry, my fault!

Hmm, all seems to be working now, no idea why, but I'm happy!

The only thing I can think of is that I was on a corporate web connection yesterday that may have been blocking some required protocols. Now I'm at home, things are good.
