scroll doesn't change workspace / cube Mint 9 rc

I have installed Linux Mint 9 RC on a test workstation (Dell latitude d610, works very well) but the scrolling, both the usb mouse and the touch pad's, doesn't change workspace. The scroll works just fine, and the middle click to pan the cube work as well. But I have to use the keyboard shortcuts to change workspaces / cube.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? I have tested Natty on a desktop workstation and the workspace switcher worked while scroling on the desktop. I haven't tested this with a notebook yet, but it looks promising.

I corrected the issue with Mint 9 by using the left and right scroll buttons on my mouse as workspace switch buttons.
