Bug Description

I have used Ubuntu Start version 0.4.8.6 (Italian language) after a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
Now when I do sudo apt-get update I get this error:

W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security/universe Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/security.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_lucid-security_universe_binary-i386_Packages)
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security/multiverse Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/security.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_lucid-security_multiverse_binary-i386_Packages)
W: È consigliato eseguire "apt-get update" per correggere questi problemi

Updated by Alin Andrei: This bug was fixed. Just a note to anyone reading this: if you were affected by this bug, running the latest version of the script again and selecting the "Add extra repositories" will fix duplicates in the sources.list file!

Hello,

Thanks for the report. I can't seem to be able to replicate this. Did you alter the sources.list in another way or used another application which edits it before the Ubuntu Start script?

W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security/multiverse Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/security.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_lucid-security_multiverse_binary-i386_Packages)

Additional repos (Getdeb, Medibuntu, etc.)

Step 2:
Extra Themes

Google Earth

Thanks! I now see what's the problem.

For some reason when I add for instance lucid-security universe and multiverse, they are added like this:
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu lucid-security universe multiverse

But in your sources.list it's:
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu lucid-security universe
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu lucid-security multiverse

I don't get it how software sources adds this in a different way but I'll add a fix for both cases.

Thank you once again!

OK, I re-uploaded version 0.4.9 (which I released today and brings bug-fixes) with a fix for this too. Now it's 99,99% fixed (I can't be sure 100% anymore, maybe there even one more way in which Software Sources adds the repositories to the sources.list file - but I covered every possible case that I could think of).

Oh and I forgot to say: an extra thanks for uploading the original and modified sources.list ... that helped a lot!
