Messages stuck in outbox

Messages can get stuck in the outbox when using MAPI. The problem occurs intermittantly when the following conditions are met

-HTML format email
-Email is reply to existing thread or a froward of existing thread
-MAPI is used to send

The fact this problem is intermittent is weird, some emails which match all of the above conditions send just fine and I cant see any difference between one that gets stuck vs one that does not (some have signatures, some dont. Some have images/attachments, some dont. I also dont see a specific character re-occurring in the stuck mails which could cause this).

This bug still exists in Lucid.
I made few tries and the messages seems to get stuck if they have some kind of accented character. If I remove this peculiar character the mail is sent correctly.

I know that this is an Ubuntu site, but I'm having a similar problem.

I first noticed the problem described in the opening post when I grabbed an email address from my Exchange Server address book. It inserted an address like the following

<email address hidden>

The email with this address got stuck in the local Outbox.

At our site we have a variety of addresses mapped to each account and so I manually entered one of these variants:

<email address hidden>

The message with this address was sent immediately.

As a final test, I sent another test message where I manually entered <email address hidden>. This third message got stuck.

Any clues as to what's going on here?

This bug is still present on Ubuntu 10.10 RC.

I have the same problem in Ubuntu 10.10, evolution 2.30.3-ubuntu7.1, without using evolution-mapi.
(The package is not installed.)
I tried sending both in HTML and plain formats, but the result was always mails stuck in the outbox.

However, this only happens if I open the mail composer directly from Me Menu, or by using "Send to" from the desktop, if I want to send a file. If I open Evolution and then start writing a mail by clicking "New", the problem doesn't happen.
