Thanks for your report.

The first error message is:
Setting up marble-data (4:4.4.2-0ubuntu2) ...

dpkg: error processing libmarble4 (--configure):

package libmarble4 is not ready for configuration

 cannot configure (current status `half-installed')

Are you still seeing this error after running the command 'dpkg --configure -a' ?

Changed in update-manager (Ubuntu):

This system was unstable after distribution "upgrade" and restored to pre-upgrade state.

Please do not close this bug.

It is not right that an in-place distribution upgrade leave a system unusable.

update-manager failed because of the libmarble4 failure and you reported it as bug 575497. It's needless to keep 2 reports opened for the same issue.

They are not the same issue.

libmarble4 is for a KDE educational program.

This "upgrade"did not fail because a library for an education program failed. It is more likely due to kernel-module-xorg-nvidia issues.

A subsequent attempt to install did not have the libmarble4 error.

Close the other one if you must.
