Bug Description
After upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04 I get a sound lag of about 30 seconds in the game Enemy Territory Quake Wars.
At first, the sound works as expected. But after some time (about 30-60 seconds) the game gets totally quiet.
Another 30 seconds later, the sound returns, but now playing with a delay of 30 seconds.
There are no relevant messages to the games log or the syslog.
This could be an alsa or pulse audio bug.
Running the game with pasuspender causes excessive processor usage and logs messages like:
idAudioHardware
snd_pcm_readi failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
snd_pcm_readi failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
snd_pcm_readi failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
...
Are there any changes in 10.04 that could have affected sound latency?
